Ethiopia Sidamo Guji refers to coffee grown in the Guji Zone, which is part of the larger Sidamo coffee-growing region in southern Ethiopia. This heirloom varietal is grown at high elevations promoting a slow maturation leading to more complex flavors.  Natural/Dry processing further intensifies the cup to be very fruit-forward.

Here are some of the things we taste in the cup:

Expect berry notes, tropical fruits, floral aromatics, and syrupy body.

This is one of the four or five coffees that we've been roasting for over 10 years.  We've dialed it in and gotten pretty good at it.  There is nothing like this coffee.  We find it to be especially good as a cold brew.  It has a light, bouncy, fruit-filled quality to it that's almost effervescent and refreshing.

The art of roasting

No surprise, Big Shoulders Coffee you delivered once again a consistent roast that promotes the qualities of a high quality coffee bean. Thank you!

Go to coffee

This coffee is my go to. I’ve been a subscriber for a few years and their consistency has been excellent.

It's good but...

The taste is smooth and very light.... which is the problem for me. I've had other Ethiopian blends of coffee and those were intense and bold which is what I was expecting. So really my rating may be unfair considering I based it on my expectations and not its taste.

Love Ethiopia Beans

This is a solid coffee, I usually use drip. I wish they would bring back the other Ethiopian bean that was even better than this (had it couple years ago in chicago).
